The TaLL TaLLK: The Model/Entrepreneur

The city of Atlanta is one the most sought after locations for the filming of many movies, tv shows, and videos over the years. I recently was cast in a video for Roc Nation artist, Nicole Bus, for her latest single, “Mr. Big Shot”! Which called for TALL men to be cast as the videos Mr. Big Shots, well as it turned out most of the guys weren’t over 6’2″ and I was for sure the tallest. Right before we began shooting on the set was someone who’s was near mine, a very cool laid back guy with long locs. I quickly realized that we had been following each other on Instagram for a while now, this guy really doesn’t need any introduction especially if you’ve been following him on Instagram! He’s been doing a lot of modeling, video, television, and hosting work, I’m truly impressed by his hustle!

I introduce to you Darryl “D.C” Chambers…….

What would you say was the biggest lesson your college experience taught you?

There are actually two lessons. The first lesson that my college experience taught me was how to adapt to different people, different environments, and different settings. The second lesson is that you’re already equipped with the tools to do whatever it is that you want to do; you just have to reach in and pull them out.

How important do you think it is for HBCU’s to be supported by Alum?

It’s very important for HBCUs to be supported by Alums because the future of HBCUs still needs the way to continue to be paved by the ones before them.

My dating life is cool. My relationship is still one where we’re both career-focused so it works.

I believe in lust at first sight. It’s impossible to love someone in that manner from just seeing them; you may love their look, but you don’t know them as a person at that point. Yes, I’ve been in love before.
