The TALLK: The Airline Agent

A couple of months after going live with rahmosley.com, I decided it would be really cool and insightful to showcase other tall men of different backgrounds and races. I then started a model search, I got a few responses, but there was one that stood out, Michael Kossett, from San Diego emailed me inquiring about modeling for rahmosley.com. He wasn’t local so at first I wasn’t sure how it would work out, but he assured me traveling to Atlanta for a shoot wouldn’t be a problem. A few months later we were able to connect and shoot here in Downtown Atlanta, at the High Museum of Art! Michael’s a great guy, we shared some laughs and good conversation during the shoot. You’ll be seeing more of Michael in the future on rahmosley.com, but for now check out his interview with, "The TALLK".

Name: Michael Kossett

Age: 53

Height: 6’7"

Marital Status: Single

Occupation: Airline Customer Service Agent

Can you give us a introduction of who you are?

I’ve got a broadcast journalism degree and worked in baseball, motorsports and hosted my own radio show. But now I’m just trying to be a great dad to my 17 year old daughter while getting my Master’s degree in theology which will lead me into my next season of life.

When was the first time you realized you were tall? How did your height make you different?

Grade school. Every class picture I hovered over everyone else. My pants were never long enough. I grew faster than my parents could afford to buy new pairs. I always had ‘high water’ pants.

What’s the most annoying question you get asked as a tall person? Did you play basketball?

Do you think being tall impacted your life differently than others?

Without question. There is a natural command or presence when you walk into a room. People listen when you speak or pay attention when you do something.

What are some of your biggest challenges when it comes to shopping?

Finding brands in my size at a good price. There are countless of things in my size but the fashion level is bare minimum.

How would you describe your style?

Wow, its gone through a lot of changes. I was preppy and conservative way past its prime but I’ve slowly transitioned into a blend of Kramer from Seinfeld, Brad Pitt and George Clooney. Crazy, to dressy casual, to crisp and sharp.

What are some brands that you always wear?

Robert Graham, Adriano Goldschmied, 7 For All Mankind, Diesel, Under Armour

What are your top 5 fashion must-haves as a tall guy?

Tuxedo, jeans for fun/dress/work, lots of shoes, form fitting t-shirts and crisp white dress shirts.

Ok, so in this section I let women readers pick questions to ask you.

1. Do you think open relationships can work long term?

Never. Its human nature that one of the two will develop feelings on some level and then the openness loses it appeal.

2. What trend would you like to wear, but you think you’re too tall to pull off?

I’m not a trend guy. And I think when you’re tall you can truly pull anything and everything off!
